Michael Andrews
Michael trained at Webber Douglas and the Central School of Speech and Drama on the three year diploma.
His acting involvement began in 1997 with the St Albans Youth Music Theatre where he performed in shows such as The Matchgirls (George Bernard Shaw), Hot Mikado (Koko), Godspell (John The Baptist/Judas) and Pendragon (Merlin). At the same time, Michael played roles such as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! and Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance with an outside company. In 2001 he joined The Company of Teens gaining four star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival in productions of Arabian Nightsand, the following year, Figaro’s. Michael was then given the chance to make his West End debut with a small part in An Inspector Calls.
Michael came back to the Abbey Theatre to join The Company of Ten, performing in The Snow Queen (Prince); Three Sisters, HONK! (Cat), simultaneously with Living With Lady Macbeth (Alex) and A Test Of Character (Chance), both of which won Best Production at the Luton Festival. Other roles include Balliff and Block in The Trial, Jason in Medea, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and Antonio in the touring production of The Changeling for the Shattered Windscreen Theatre Company. He made his directorial debut with his own production of Alice in Wonderlandfor The Company Of Teens in which he also played numerous roles.
Michael is currently studying drama at the Webber Douglas Academy and there he has played Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, and Valentine in Two Gentleman Of Verona. He is pleased to have joined Brilliant Productions to play a much loved character.
