About the Hertfordshire Youth Show Choir

The Hertfordshire Youth Show Choir was set up in 2003 to give youngsters the opportunity to study singing and harmony at a high level. Singing as part of a group is one of the best forms of training for young people, encouraging them to develop their vocal talents and skills in a disciplined yet fun environment. The beauty of the ‘show choir’ is that participants get to learn music they enjoy and of course, they also get to perform that music in front of packed houses and appreciative audiences!

The Hertfordshire Youth Show Choir made their collective professional debut in Showstoppers - The Movies! at the Alban Arena in October 2003 with an impressive array of work, including a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang/Mary Poppins medley, Circle of Life, Wind Beneath My Wings, a Blues Brothers selection, Beauty and the Beast and many more.
