news
Many past and present members of Brilliant Productions, Brilliant Kids and HYSC are hitting the showbiz headlines. Bobbie Chatt has just finished performing as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz for Newpalm Productions at the Elgiva. Jeff Nicholson (Showstoppers!, Showstoppers – The Movies! and Fame!) recently wowed audiences in the West End production of Les Miserables, where he played the role of Grantaire and understudied Javert, to great acclaim. He is now playing Charles Guiteau in Assassins at the Landor Theatre, London. Look out for him – Jeff is a Brilliant star!
Congratulations too to our other West End and touring successes – Stephen Emery (Fame!) is in The Lord of the Rings at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane where he appears in the ensemble and understudies the leading hobbits. Victoria Gavin (Jones) (Fame!) has recently completed the No.1 National Tour of 42nd Street and last year starred in the UK tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Georgina Osen (Showstoppers – The Movies, The Biz) auditioned successfully for the Sylvia Young Theatre School, while performing in the London production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – we wish her continued success. Emma Parslow (Snoopy) toured with Little Britain; Joanne Bispham (Fame!) and Joelle Kerry (Fame!) have been performing all over the world with Spirit of The Dance, while Daisy Kemp (Fame!) has just completed her run, gracing stages around the world in Matthew Bourne's much lauded production of Swan Lake. Irene Moss (Fame!) has spent the year touring Europe while Fay Knight (Fame!) currently dances in Disneyland, Paris. Meanwhile Alice Jackson (Fame!) recently completed a stint in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Watford Palace.
Our youngest ‘kids from Fame!' are now professionally training (how time flies!) Felicity Chilver and Sara Bispham is studying at Laine Theatre Arts, Clare Halse (Fame!) is completing her studies at Arts Educational Schools, London, together with Luke Fetherston (Snoopy, Fame) and Katie Lavelli (Showstoppers – The Movies!), is at Mountview. They join Mandy Davies, Eleanor Price, Lauren Catlow, Alex Grace and Justin St Cere, all of whom are studying at various establishments throughout the UK.
Congratulations to Olivia Lim-Holmes, Megan Stewart, Mairi Peddison-Grant, and Chester and Sienna Hayes (Snoopy) who, together with many Moonglow students enjoyed great success at the National Freestyle Dance Finals 2007.
